I don't know if this has been asked or not, but has anyone thought to hit up the Blue Security team to see if they'd be willing to release their source code, that way there would be a solid starting point for Okopipi. I would think that the easiest thing to do is use most of the BF client and tweak or build the leftovers necessary to make it a distributed system. basically take the client-side of things, merge in the server-side of things, and either build or use an existing p2p system to link everyone. at least to begin with anyway

Ideas on how this may work?
I guess it has been thought of, but my question is, why wouldn't it work?
Third thought, to help in keeping the clients and backbones secure, could a Tor-like solution be of any use?
