new idea (?)

Hi.

I have a new (?) idea how to fight spam.

The idea is to "punish" not the spammers but the companies which are using spammers for advertistment.
It is very difficult to find the spammer himself, but the company which paid for his activity - "a sponsor" - is always clearly visible.
In the spam email there is always some link to website of the company that paid for this.

How to punish them?

With typical internet method - it is with creating additional traffic on their website, that disturbs normal operation.
We need only an application, like some folder or a trash bin, you copy to all the spam messages to.
Then the program connects to all links indicated in the spam email, pretending it is some user connecting and creating additional traffic to the website.

If some bigger number of people start using this program, and if they coordinate the connecting time, then easily they could block some pages.
To coordinate the action we need some simple schema. I.e. connecting on every round hour: 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 etc.
With this coordination, the company will clearly see that the traffic on the website is created by the spam sending.

Then if the application have some period of activity, let's say 3 days after receiving of email, then the company have a chance to avoid "round hour attack".
As soon as it stops sending spam, then in 3 days the problem should disappear.

So the spammer's "sponsor" get worned, but also he has a chance to avoid problems. It simply needs to stop sending spam.

There is no central server of p2p net for this activity. The application can be distributed by any freeware servers, so there is no central point that can be attacked like it was in case of blue frog some time ago.

For me it looks good, and it should work - please let me know if I forget about something important?
