Where the f*** is Okopipi?

We are at a critical time in the project's development, after stalling once, we need to keep going. We're at the stage now where we can begin to write code, but we're lacking one important thing - coders.

If you are a programmer, please read the draft paper and contact Journeyman.

If you aren't a programmer, please ask any programmer friends of yours to do the above, or read the draft and offer your constructive critisim, comments and suggestions.

None of us want to see this project fail, please keep support for it strong, and keep spreading the word. Hopefully we should be starting to see code in SVN soon, Okopipi is not vapourware!

Such a terribly offensive title!

I wish you had written, "Where the fuck is Okop***?"
The answer seems to be: Procrastinating. Stagnating. Vacillating. The frog has his webbed thumb up his amphibian ass. Either LEAP now or get off the lilly pad.

Still working on Scalable Trust prototype

I'm still working on the Scalable Trust prototype that I've mentioned before. It is moving forward, slowly but steadily.

Unfortunately it takes longer than I had hoped. But I think it looks very promising!

I won't try to describe it here, because I've already tried before, and my text became far too long to be readily understandable, and yet it didn't clarify things very well.

Instead my first prototype will serve as a first specification. Its user interface and behavior will clarify many things. Once you've seen that, discussing various alternatives and possibilities will be far easier. This will also make it much easier for other programmers to join in, if they wish.

If you find that you can create another frog, then do not let my work stop you. If we have two different frogs, spammers will be less tempted to attack us, since in that situation bringing us down would only give us lots of publicity without stopping us, instead making us grow.

However, if you're starting to feel that nothing will come of Okopipi, hopefully this message will give you some hope back. There is at least one frog coming! And although it takes longer than one could wish, at least I think it looks very promising!

Poltergeist

:)

Journeyman's idea was that you could submit this idea as a paper under a different "colour name" - i.e. his is "Okopipi Blue", yours could be Red or Yellow or something (Yay for arbitraty naming conventions).

Feel free to submit it, if it looks a lot better than the other thought out ideas it may get implimented.

But we need to impliment *something* before everyone ditches the project completely.
