The Okopipi Project

I am amazed to see OKOPIPI still open to comments and hope despite all the negatives. Even I suggested we close up shop since the advertisers are flooding our comment columns with advertising's for a free ride.

I have no use for a vinyl cutter or a rental business. I only want to stop spammers. Since advertisers are now using our antispam blogs for pushing their wares we need to do some serious thinking about the future. We are not policing our blogs. Maybe it is time to shut down. Maybe we need to thank each other for our honest try and part company. Maybe it is time to shut down our OKOPIPPI servers before we are serving the whims of the spammers. One last Idea.

Have we tried to enlist the help of the original Blue Frog people? Surely there must be one of them who will devote some volunteer time to us just to get us up and running.
After all they had the best idea ever tried in the fight against spammers.

Oh how I wish that I had technical experience so that I could contribute to the development of the Okopipi Project but I am only a home PC user. I wish Blue Frog had not given up because it, for a time, was the best thing to fight spam with at the source. For a time it was working. Now I am getting flooded with spam again.
Please, in the Spirit of Blue Frog, put this thing together and bring back "The Frog" in the form of Okopipi. Once again we can rejoice every time we "Complain" to a spammer or their advertisement source.
Remember, "one complaint for one spam", "ten thousand complaints for ten thousand spams"?
